Next to our team of hosts, another group of volunteers manages the collection of books by and on Spinoza in the Domus. As a visitor you can examine these books in the reading room.
Other activities
In 2023, a team of volunteers completely renovated the back garden of the Domus. Since 2024, the Domus participates in the national Open Monumentendag (part of the European Heritage Days) – more than five hundred visitors visited the reading room and renovated garden.
October is Spinoza Month in The Hague, organized by Stichting Spinoza Den Haag. During this month, Domus can be visited every afternoon. In 2024, we welcomed hundreds of visitors, inspiring them with Spinoza’s life and thoughts.
Domus Spinozana Foundation
The Domus is owned by the independent Domus Spinozana Foundation since December 2020. This foundation aims to firstly managing the building and secondly to making part of the building available to the Spinoza House Society.
