The daily management of the Spinoza House Museum is in the hands of a group of over thirty volunteers. They form the backbone of the museum. They are highly motivated to provide visitors with explanations, tailored to each person’s level of knowledge and interests.
They also give guided tours to school groups and other (groups of) interested parties.
The Spinoza House Museum is affiliated with the Museum Association and is included in the museum register. This is a register of museum institutions that demonstrably meet the criteria for a high-quality fulfilment of the functions of a museum. These criteria are summarized in the Museum Standard.
Spinoza is one of the windows of the Canon of the History of the Netherlands (Canon van Nederland). The museum is affiliated with the Canon network, with the Spinoza House and the Theological-Political Treatise being its key pieces.
